Mental Health Mini-Series

An overview of common mood disorders (e.g., Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, etc.) will be provided during this workshop.  Descriptions of symptoms and treatment options will be addressed. General statistics related to the prevalence of the disorder and the impact diagnoses can have on other areas of functioning will be covered.

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will gain knowledge about the symptoms of various mood disorders and the ways in which they are distinct from one another.
• Participants will increase their awareness of treatment options for mood disorders.
• Participants will be provided prevalence rates and statistics related to mood disorders.
