"To be listed on the AOIC's interpreter registry, interpreters will need to attend an orientation session and pass written and oral exams that test for language proficiency, an understanding of ethics and court procedure, and interpreting skills. Illinois will be using the National Center for State Courts’ (NCSC) written and oral exams. Interpreters that attend the orientation training will be eligible to sit for the written and oral exams, which will be offered by the AOIC shortly after the orientation sessions. Candidates must continue self-study before taking the written and oral exams. [...]
"For planning purposes, it would help us greatly if interpreters interested in attending filled out the following survey. Please note that this does not constitute registration for the orientation and is for planning purposes only. Registration will be open by early October, if not sooner. Click here to fill out the survey if you are an interpreter interested in attending an upcoming orientation.
