Dear Colleagues,

We are thrilled to announce our first online curriculum for medical interpreters starting next month! The course is titled Pharmacology Primer for Interpreters and will be taught by Dr. Lizbeth Mendoza, CMI. It will provide participants with the background, vocabulary and strategies necessary to efficiently and accurately communicate information regarding pharmaceuticals. Sessions will meet on Tuesdays at 8:30-10 PM starting on April 29 and ending May 20, consisting of an orientation to the online platform followed by three instructor-led sessions of 1.5 hours each.

The course is open to Spanish interpreters of all experience levels. The focus is mainly medical, but court and conference interpreters are also encouraged to participate, as pharmaceutical vocabulary often comes up in these fields as well. As this course will be highly interactive, class size is limited to just six participants. We recommend registering or reserving a seat in advance to ensure your spot!

Early Bird Offer: Register by Thursday, March 27 for a 15% Discount!
Please click here for complete details and registration.

On the topic of medical interpreting, registration is also open for our 40-hour course Breaking Language Barriers in Medicine in Orlando this April 26-27 and May 2-4. Participants who reserve a seat or register by April 1 receive a FREE copy of Quick and Easy Medical Terminologyrecommended by the IMIA! Please click here for complete details and registration for the 40-hour course.
